Ryan Shaw is a three-time GRAMMY® nominated and Global Music Award-winning artist for his solo projects, This is Ryan Shaw, In Between and Real Love. He has shared the world stage with such artists as Van Halen, Bonnie Raitt, John Legend, B.B. King and Jill Scott. His music has been featured on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance and ABC’s Dancing with The Stars, Grey’s Anatomy, and Lincoln Heights, and the films My Blueberry Nights and Bride Wars and the Sex and the City soundtrack. Ryan has been a featured guest on national TV talk shows. He starred as Judas in the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Olivier Award-winning London production of Jesus Christ Superstar, as the original Stevie Wonder in Motown: The Musical on Broadway, and on London’s West End as the Soul of Michael Jackson in Thriller Live. Ryan debuted at Radio City Music Hall in the Dream Concert benefit for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. His Carnegie Hall appearances include Elton John and Bernie Taupin Tribute, A Celebration of The African American Cultural Legacy, and a Nat King Cole 100th concert with the NY Pops. His concert schedule includes NY Central Park’s SummerStage, Nat King Cole at 100 with the National Symphony Orchestra at The Kennedy Center as well as the Nashville Symphony, and A Tribute to the Queen of Soul: Aretha Franklin with numerous orchestras throughout North America. Ryan’s solo orchestral show, R&B Legends with RYAN SHAW premiered at the Ferguson Center for the Performing Arts with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and is now being presented by orchestras around the country. His new duo show with Capathia Jenkins entitled ICON – The Voices That Changed Music is also being presented by numerous orchestras. He was a featured guest in The 92nd Street Y’s presentation of Lyrics & Lyricists What’s Going On?: Songs of Change. Ryan’s album, Imagining Marvin, includes Marvin Gaye hits, Ryan’s original songs and GRAMMY Award-winning co-writers and special guests.
Ryan just returned from Berlin performing the role of Judas in a sold-out large production of the Komische Oper Berlin’s Jesus Christ Superstar. His newest single and video, Rising Up, is an inspirational call to action. The full album will be released in early 2026. Simultaneously with Rising Up, Ryan recently released a new duo album with Ray Angry entitled OFF Broadway. This project features contemporary and progressive soul versions of classic Broadway songs spanning over 70 years.
R&B Legends with RYAN SHAW

Ryan premiered his new orchestral show, R&B Legends with RYAN SHAW with the Virginia Symphony at the Ferguson Center for the Arts in Newport News, VA. The show was recently performed again with the Nashville Symphony. Receiving rave audience responses, Ryan brings his soulful powerhouse vocals for a program of rhythm & blues.
This show celebrates the legends, past and current, who have scored the soundtracks of our lives. Featuring brand new orchestral arrangements of favorite songs, along with a stellar band and vocalists, Ryan takes us on a musical journey that only he can.
R&B Legends with RYAN SHAW includes hit songs written or performed by such celebrated legends as Donny Hathaway, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Otis Redding, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Miracles, Bill Withers, Issac Hayes and Brenda Holloway, as well as originals by Ryan Shaw and Valerie Simpson.

Ryan recently released his brand new track, the stirring and inspirational “Rising Up,” featuring the Average White Band (AWB) Horns (Cliff Lyons & Fred Vigdor). Co-written by Tim Myers and co-produced with GRAMMY Award-winner Scott Jacoby (John Legend, Coldplay, Aloe Blacc), Ryan comments, “'Rising Up' is an inspirational call to action. The song and the upcoming album feel so timely to me. In the face of political, economic and social unrest, music is and always will be the one thing that unites us and encourages us to overlook our differences and embrace much needed change in our community.”

Teaming up with acclaimed pianist/composer/arranger Ray Angry (The Roots) and GRAMMY Award-winning producer Scott Jacoby, OFF Broadway is a new studio album featuring R&B, soul, jazz and classical – inspired takes on classic Broadway hits.

Ryan’s latest album is inspired by one of his idols, Marvin Gaye. Imagining Marvin showcases Ryan’s soaring and impassioned vocals on Marvin Gaye hits alongside five of his original songs inspired by Gaye’s legacy. Produced by Ryan and musician/producer, Shedrick Mitchell (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Maxwell, Queen Latifah, Kenny Lattimore and more), the album features GRAMMY Award winner, Rob Thomas and special guests, Shoshana Bean, Derek Trucks and Robert Randolph.
